I don’t get the opportunity to go shopping here in the Philippines often due to my busy work schedule, but when I get the chance to go to Manila – a mall is always on the itinerary! Last weekend my husband and I went to Makati again to spend some time with my niece and eat some delicious food (more on that later!). Here are a few things I bought that I think would make great souvenirs or presents for your friends back home – wherever your home is:
- Acacia wooden bowls (Kultura Filipino, SM Makati)
- Traditional Filipino embroidered coin purse (Kultura Filipino, SM Makati)
- Soludos espadrilles (Shoe Salon, Glorietta 3, Ayala Centre, Makati)
- ‘How to be Parisian’ book (Powerbooks, Greenbelt 4, Ayala Centre, Makati)
- Pearl ring set ( H&M, SM Makati)
Happy shopping!
Guurrrllll you’ve just given me a list of ‘pasalubongs’ to give to my folks haha They’re in Phils right now (just got back from Baguio) & I’ve been trying to think of good souvenirs to add to our house decor. What/which markets would you recommend?

They just need to go to the mother of all Filipino souvenir shops: Kultura Filipino!!! It’s only in SM department stores but it’s amazing!! I buy all my gifts from there 🙂 Still has the cheap price tags too!

We actually made a pact that we would come back to live in a few years 🙂 Work pending of course! As long as I had frequent trips to Aus it would be fine here!
